@If arabic is your mother tongue you should be fine. I take SL arabic and HL french, so I know how language B's work. The difference between an SL and HL subject is that HL requires more depth of language skills which includes basic grammar such as tenses, a more advanced vocabulary,. You are also required to study 2 books in class during IB1, since your Written task (20% of your final grade will be around it).

@Personally I am arab and my arabic is not great because I was taught late, but without investing at all in class I am able to get around a 5/6. If you are a tad better or fully fluent you will get a 7 with minimal or no effort

I was gonna say the same thing. I have a friend who is an arab, and circumstances pushed her to take start taking Arabic B HL in the last 3 months of DP year 2, so she did the whole course in 3 months, and got a 7. She is fluent in Arabic. From what she tells me Arabic B does not require much writing, as long as you do the oral right and the comprehension you're good to go!
