Hi!

I currently have an urgent issue. In Sweden there will be a change next year that will make it near impossible to apply to universities here. We still have time (ca 3 weeks) to influence this and hopefully stop them.

The change will mean that to get into medical school for example at Lund uni it will take 44 points, which is crazy compared to Oxford's standard offer of 38 points. They are saying that 45p (IB) = 20,0 (Swedish) which is not true because many Swedish students get 20,0 but only 24 IB students out of ca 11 000 has gotten a 45 in Sweden. We beg of you to sign our petition. Follow the link below please

It's not decided yet, we have three weeks. Please spread the message to your school and anyone you know! This is a message our principal has approved you can use it when sharing the link :)

The UHR (the Swedish council for higher education) is proposing to change the entire conversion scale between IB grades and Swedish grades.
Getting a Swedish 20 used to require 40 IB points. They are now considering raising this, so that a Swedish 20 requires 45 points (a perfect IB score). About 0.2% of Sweden's IB students score this, and only 0.5% score 40 or more, whilst around 4% of non-IB students studying the natural sciences in Sweden scored 20 national points. This is twenty times the number of IB students with 45 IB points! It is by no means easier to score an IB 40, much less a 45, than a Swedish national 20!

This change in conversion would devalue the grades of extremely high-achieving IB students undertaking one of the most difficult high school programmes in the country!

If this proposition went through it would go into effect within a year.
Help us stop this before they jeopardise our chances of admittance to the universities our grades deserve!

That's stupid because everyone know that Swedish system is easier to get max in.. Like math hl covers way more than matematik 5 does and even math sl is more than enough and same with sciences sl are covering way more than Swedish system does so..
