I'm going to start Pre-IB this August and I am beyond nervous. Does anyone have any advice on how to survive the IB program and highschool in general?

Learning how to manage your time and stress is very important. In Ib, you need to create a balance between academic and social life. Remember, it's not always about one upping others, it's about collaboration.

I'm not sure how your program in your school works but that's how my program is.

Pre-IB is mostly about finding the study technique that works for you. You should take it seriously but also remember that this is your last year before you go in to the IB so have fun aswell

Haha my pre-ib program wasn't difficult at all. My only recommendation is don't stress. No matter how hard or not hard yours is. Stressing is probably the worst thing you could do.

I didn't do pre-IB, but i am now about to finish my first year of the IB and i got through it just fine. I think what's really important is that you actually work everyday and that you remember that having a social life is important too. For example, i hace made a point of never studying on fridays, that's the day in which i can actually relax. Also, GET SLEEP! A lot of people will tell you that IB kids never get any sleep, but i've slept eight hours per day since the school year began and i think that has helped a lot. Good luck, anyways!

My biggest tips would be to stay organized by using your agenda, write clear and detalied summary notes for all of your tests (it will be useful when you study for exams), and try to get some sleep. You really shouldn't stress too much about pre-IB, it's pretty easy :)

The Pre-IB in my country is a joke. It prepares you more to the other program STX than it prepares you for the IB. Unqualified teachers and teachers who can't even teach in English (gasps) it's frustrating... Thus P.E.. I thought we were supposed to focus on the IB

In my country we focus on national university's tests. If your pre-IB is like that, the only recomendation I can give you is to manage your stress (because it will be hard) and keep sumaries of everything you study this semester, because you won't remember anything once the IB finishes

There's an online course called Callido Learning which my school made me do as a mandatory IB transition course, I found it to be very in line with the kind of thinking and communication skills the IB demands in pretty much all the different subject groups.
