im slowly starting to get more and more 6s on my history hl assignments. my teacher kept pushing us to incorporate different perspectives on EVERYTHING. So if you’re making notes with everything you write down think about what someone else might think of that in that time period or how other historians (orthodox, revisionists, post-revisionists) might see that particular policy decision. Also always include the negative side effects of something and how it affect the ‘people’ and not just those in power

To get better at any subject I always give the same advice. You have to have an actual passion for the subject you have to be interested in it, even if you hate it you have to force yourself to like it. This depends actually because I love English A but I am still stuck at a 5 there, but this has so far worked for me when it comes to other subjects. When you are passionate about the subject you’d be able to take History as an actual Historian, which is sadly what the IB is making us do (which I do not support...). Then again it depends but still take my advice as a note :)
