I'm going into highschool next year and I'll be doing PRE-IB for two years and then IB the two years after that. But, I've seen a lot of bad stuff about IB and I'm kind of worried. My question is, is IB worth it? And I want the honest answers even if they're bad.

tbh it really depends on u, if u’re someone who procrastinates a lot then I wouldn’t recommend taking it. if u can stay on top of ur shit then you’ll probably be fine. I dont know where ur from or what u wanna study but i would say that its easier to get into uni’s with A level grades rather than IB grades (dont know about SATs). That’s because A level students will need max 3 grades which have to do with what u wanna study compared to the IB where ur acceptance or rejection depends on 6 subjects which not all of them have to do with what you study. Syllabus wise the IB is fine as most of the syllabus is very similar to A level syllabus but the IB has a lot of unnecessary shit like CAS, TOK etc. However, i would say that the IB prepares u better for uni as u clearly have to multitask a lot more and u have to do all the IAs (+EE), especially if u want to study something science related. Basically u have to choose between being more relaxed during high school (not IB) and stressing more during the first year of uni or stressing during high school (IB) and being more relaxed than others during the first year of uni.
