I want to know if I should stay in IB even though my GPA dropped tremendously this semester to a 2.1 . I don’t know what to do and if I should continue. People are telling me that if I am in full diploma I don’t need the GPA to admit into universities. They say if I’m full diploma they don’t see my GPA and only see my IB scores. Is this true? And should I drop?
I am in year 1 btw

Are year 1 or 2? As far as ik unis will only see our IB score but they might depend on which universities. If you work really hard you can fix your score, but if you feel like you can’t take it anymore than you should drop it

I think in some countries like the Netherlands they don’t ask for points, they just ask for you passing the diploma

Like users before me said, universities look primarily at your IB points as opposed to your GPA. However, if you were interested in getting early admission, it'll be very difficult, if not impossible, to get in without raising your GPA. As for if you should drop IB or not, just stay in the program until you feel that you are giving more to IB than what you're receiving in benefits.
