I am an IB first year student and I started my course about 1.5 months ago. My transition from IGCSE to IB has been rough and I am already struggling with my HL’s (Physics, Economics, Mathematics). What should I do to stay up to date with my course. Currently I am planning to take notes parallel to the class, is there anything else that I can do?

Depending on where you are from there are resources available for you. I am also a first year but am already done a semester. I use a site called Pamoja to study they offer online courses that can be taken either in their own or with an ib class. It will give you multiple chances to learn a topic and get you where you need to be in class. There is also programs like oxford learning that do homework and study help with supplement books.
