I always hear about how European IB students get higher test scores and marks overall, whereas American IB students don’t do as well. Personally I’m in the U.S and only 40 kids at my school are in DP. And before when we had 150 average, usually 30% of IB kids get their diploma...why do you think this is?

Im in an ib school in europe, and the thing (in at least my school) is that many people either decide to only do the certificate or they fail in year 11 and drop out of school. My school has always had a 90-100% pass rate in its history with about 50 people taking the exams each year.

I think it’s about what school you go to rather than what country. At my school we have most people get their diploma. Last year there were 28 full IB kids and only 3 didn’t pass.
