I was wondering how the grade boundaries work when we have tests and assignments. Like how much percent is it from a 6 to a 7? And does this differ between subjects?

@ibdiploma https://www3.dpcdsb.org/STFXS/Documents/2017-05_grade_boundaries.pdf

It’s a long list, but it’s all there

@SharvinRocks Thanks! Does this apply for assessments or tests we have during the school year?

@ibdiploma that depends on your teacher. My chemistry teacher followed these boundaries; but for example, my physics teacher didn’t. For some reason, he used much stricter boundaries and followed a more ‘generic’ grade boundary (something along the lines of 6 = 72%, 7 = 87%) while realistically, the IB Physics grade boundaries are suuuper low for your final IB exams.

This meant that my final IB diploma grade was much higher than what I constantly had on my tests and report cards for Physics throughout the two years of IBDP. So I can’t complain...
