Hey guys! I'm struggling to choose between two topics for my EE. Do you think I should do it in History (basically politics of my country, Peru - for which i have a lot of personal engagement) or English (about modernism and the concept of Art for art's sake) which do you think would be more doable/ easier?? Thanks!

(Sounds cliché, but) choose what you like, it makes the EE process one million times easier!

My intuition says deep inside you want to go for History... is that correct? ;)

The personal engagement you will have with your EE is easily observable by examiners. They like seeing that; it just so happens to be an entire criterion and examiners will credit you for that. And it’s only for your own benefit.

My best advice is to consider: will I get 4,000 words out of this? Or will I be struggling to find things to say? I had a struggle picking my EE topic last year and that’s how I decided. Personal engagement is important, not as much for History or English, it’s really for math bc it’s harder to score higher on that. But it’s still really what you know you’ll run out of words to say about it, because it will be so much easier to do research on that.

You are right, I have much more to say for history, although the amount of research will be way larger :,)
