At my school our music teacher claims that IB doesn’t allow a backing track for the playing portion, or you may lose marks for your overall performance. I honestly haven’t seen anything about this when I was trying to look it up to see if it was a misconception...

So for all you IB Musicians, are you playing with an Accompanist or a Backing Track? And are Backing Tracks frowned upon at your school?
