So I’m up to my head in hw. I fell asleep last night doing hw, I used my IB advisor’s office during lunch today as a study room, I spent three hours after school doing hw until I was close to a mental breakdown, and Ive barely scratched the surface. It’s mainly AP gov. But I’ve been out of it ALL day. It’s hard for me to pay attention and NOT fall asleep in class because I’m literally drowning in work. I kinda wanna drop AP gov, but the work amount is the same as regular gov, so idek.

@First of all, don't drop the AP course. It will be worth in the long haul. I don't have the greatest work ethic but I can tell you the IB path is a difficult one and sometimes you do have to sacrifice sleep. I recommend that you take one day to fully catch up on everything you can and really try to focus up after. Remember, you only need 8 hours of sleep a night, so factor that in with your commute, the time you're at school, etc., and then try to be more engaged in class. Sit in the front, use your work periods to work instead of watch YouTube, and try in general to be more productive. It's better to focus in class and learn the material while not completing some formatives, than miss the material in class and do a mediocre job on your homework because you don't get it in class. Also remember your teachers are here to help, talk with them about your sleep issue and see what they can do to make it easier for you. My ESS teacher sometimes sees me dozing off in class and she lets me take naps, as long as I catch up on the work, because she knows how hard the DP can be. That's all I can help you out with, but good luck!
