Hellooo, I’m really struggling with finding a book to analyze for my EE. I don’t want to do anything over analyzed such as How to Kill a Mocking Bird or 1984. I also don’t want to do John Green and other similar teen novels. Do you have any recommendations? I’m thinking maybe something where I can explore the role of women (feminism) or any other social issues. It is not nessecary tho. Any book
recommendation would be helpful.

We did a few plays/novels surrounding female roles in Eng Lit.

1. Antigone by Sophocles
2. A Doll's House by Henrik Ibsen
3. Blood Wedding by Lorca
4. Medea by Euripides
5. Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

The first four are about female characters challenging the female role in society. Blood Wedding and Chronicle of a Death Foretold would make for a good comparison because they discuss the idea of Machismo, masculine gender roles and honour killing in Latin communities.

How about Fahrenheit 451? The language is pretty tough to analyse and has complex ideas. It doesn't have anything related to feminism though..
