Is it possible to do IB DP, if I don’t have previous studying-in-english experience? (I’ve been studying in Russia.) I’m not sure, that my English skills are as well as they have to be, since I don’t know any bio, math, etc terms in English.

It is absolutely possible! In Sweden we have a pre-IB year that you have to do, but before that I had never studied in English.
You get used to all the terms pretty quickly, especially if it’s a lot of new information for you.
If you struggle very much with English it might be a little too difficult, but if your English is fine then you will get used to it in no time. So I would say, do it!

Yes it is possible! I was in a swedish school for 10 years and now i’m in my second year of going to an english speaking school and it’s working just fine! I’d say go with your gut but it is totally doable!

@nathaliehilda had you done pre-IB? Or you’d started studying in DP right after Swedish school?

I did pre-IB since you have to go to high school for at least 3 years here, but if pre-IB isn’t an option for you i still think you can do it! The first 2-3 weeks of school will be exhausting due to the new language but you adjust quicker than you might think!

I jumped straight to IB DP without MYP(pre-IB) and indeed, first few months were quite difficult, but teachers understood that and gave us some time to adapt. So, if I managed to do it, I’m sure you will too!
